We at Solomon’s Knot (Registered Charity No. 1129898) take your privacy seriously and will only process your personal data with your consent and in accordance with the terms stated in our Privacy Policy.
 
What Information do we collect from you?
The personal data we collect may include:

  • Your title and full name
  • Postal address
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Bank details (if applicable)
  • Correspondence sent to you or received from you
  • Gift Aid Status

 

Why do we collect this information?
We collect your personal data (where you have authorised us to do so) in order to be able to:

  • Send you news of our programming, performances and other activities and events in which we are taking part
  • Invite you to consider providing financial support to us or any of our projects
  • Sell tickets to performances, recordings of our performances, or other merchandise promoted or sold by us

Your consent
At the point of providing us with your personal information, we seek your consent to our processing such information in accordance with the purposes and provisions of this Privacy Policy. 

If you subscribe to our regular email newsletter using the forms on our website or make a donation, you are opting into all communications from Solomon’s Knot including but not limited to marketing, learning/outreach and fundraising communications. Additionally, we have undertaken a Legitimate Interest Assessment which covers communications which we understand to be of interest to you, based on your interactions with Solomon’s Knot.

What do we do with your personal data and who might we share your information with?
We do not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. Data processing will only take place where authorised by the GDPR. 

On receipt of your personal data, we will take every reasonable measure and precaution to protect and secure your personal data. We will not share or disclose any of your personal data without your consent, other than for the purposes or as specified in this policy or where there is a legal requirement.

We may need to provide your information to our contractors, suppliers or selected parties who provide services on our behalf (e.g. our database provider, our accounting services provider, a mailing house). This would only be to the extent necessary to enable you to receive those services that they are conducting on behalf of Solomon’s Knot.

Our mailing list, which we use for the purposes of sending out our newsletters and other communications authorised by you, is stored and managed through Mailchimp, whose privacy notice may be viewed here.

If you make a payment to us we will need to share your information with our payment processor. We will only keep your payment information until a payment has been made and they will not be digitally stored in a useable format.

‘Cookies’ are small pieces of information stored on the hard drive of a user’s computer which contain information about the user. The information is used to track a visitor’s use of the website and to compile statistical reports on website activity.

Solomon’s Knot may store information about your user preferences (e.g. preferred text size) using cookies (files which are sent by us to your computer or other access device) which we can access when you visit our site in the future. We do this to help enhance your interaction with our website.

We use a secure service when you make a donation or a payment through our website, via a virtual gateway. Our online payment system is PCI DSS compliant.

We will take all reasonable steps necessary to ensure that data transferred outside the EEA is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Your rights.
You have the right to access your personal data that we possess about you.

You may ask us to correct or remove information that you think is either incomplete or inaccurate and we will strive to do so as quickly as possible.

If we receive a request from you to exercise any of the above rights, we may ask you to verify your identity before acting on your request, so as to ensure that your data is protected and kept secure.
