Bach’s Horns

A real labour of love, this album was recorded live at the Bachwoche Ansbach in 2023, and creates a new dramaturgy from JS Bach’s Hunt cantata, Brandenburg Concerto No.1 and Mass in F Major. All three works drive the horns (which had only recently joined civilised musical society from the riot of the hunt) to acrobatic, virtuosic heights.
